YOU'RE INVITED

Nexus Church’s women’s ministry is hosting a Kentucky Derby Party on April 30th from 11am-2pm. Not only will the ladies get to show off their fancy spring hats & dresses, but the main purpose for this event is so we can show our support to the House of Joy orphanage in Kahavka, Ukraine. We will have a silent auction where all proceeds will be sent to this ministry that was founded by Jim & Pam King. The ladies will also get to spend time in fellowship, shop some of the best boutiques around, and eat from the finest food trucks in town! The event will conclude with a message from the wonderful Pastor Lisa Purkey.


If you have little girls in your life that are between 4yr-12yrs old, sign them up for the Mini Derby Party at 12:30pm! They will have a tea party with delicious food, hear a message just for them from Pastor Lisa and have fun crafting!

FOUNDERS OF THE HOUSE OF JOY ORPHANAGE

Jim and Pam King are long-time, trusted friends of Pastors Jon and Lisa Purkey. Nexus has supported their ministry in Ukraine for many years, and we are ready and willing to step up, and support their ministry in a greater way during this time of need. 600 million women and children are currently displaced because of the war and are in need of everything from, plane tickets, hotel stays, clothing, food, water, medical care, and basic hygiene items. We know many of you want to help, but don’t know how. Donating and participating, in the Kentucky Derby Party silent auction, is a sure way to know you’re helping. A 100% of the proceeds will go directly to supporting and evacuating those in need.

    **Look for "Silent Auction Drop-Off" sign in the  church lobby - a volunteer  will be stationed and ready to receive your item
